About Me

Based out of Newcastle, I'm a lifestyle family photographer specialising in natural and authentic family portraits

From my rural upbringing in Southern Africa to my early adult years in the Swiss alps, I have had an ever evolving relationship toward the lens. After completing my bachelor in Art Direction in Geneva, I spent my 20's in the fast-paced advertising world of Dubai. After my sons were born I was seeking something slower.

Having lost my own mother when I was 23, my arrival into motherhood was grief-stricken and turbulent. A lack of documentation of my mother in pregnancy and postpartum and my eldest son being diagnosed with an ultra rare genetic condition genetic, left me with more questions than answers. But such is motherhood. An intense unknowing, an unbecoming. I pick up my camera as a means of healing and finding momentary solace in the image. An uncovering of an image and an unfolding of being. Skin to Skinn.

Based in the heart of the North East of England, I travel across the UK capturing timeless moments through family and newborn photography – from the cobbled charm of Edinburgh to the vibrant streets of London.

The Creative Process in a Session

I use photography as an anchor in unchartered waters, capturing magical moments amidst the storms of the early years: intense and raw. I use photography to heal and help others heal, blending artistic vision and documentary style storytelling. To retell stories to revisit them in years to come. The only legacy that truly matters is the photos your children hold in their hands; memory.

Curious by the fragile and fleeting nature of the ordinary everyday, I approach photography with sensitivity and reverence and simplicity. I follow your lead. Occasionally I will direct you toward the light or rearrange things around you for the best framing, but ultimately I want to capture your essence with my lens. I want to tell your story.

What's your story, what do you want to capture?

A joyful winter beach scene with parent and child sharing a loving moment in patterned outerwear.
